BIO
Gregor is a drummer, percussionist and bodhrán player, steeped in both classical percussion and the musical traditions of Scotland and Ireland. He has gained his BMus Hons in percussion from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance before relocating to Glasgow to receive an MA in traditional music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
A passion for musical exploration, Gregor enjoys weaving influences from the diverse variety of percussion which he has studied, both classical and traditional.

Gregor has many years of experience teaching bodhrán, drum kit and percussion privately in Glasgow as well as providing group bodhrán classes for the Glasgow Folk Music Workshop. He has also given bodhrán and performance classes for the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, Chetham's School of Music, and Slemish College.
Notably, Gregor has performed at Celtic Connections, WOMEX, the BBC Proms, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival and the Edinburgh International Festival, and in August of 2023, was invited to attend Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop in Boston.
He has toured France and Belgium with Irish dance show, Celtic Legends, and performs regularly as part of his award winning duo with harpist and singer, Eleanor Dunsdon, and as a member of Scottish trad band, Tarran.
A love for collaboration, Gregor has worked with Scotland based musicians including, Dan Brown, and BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician 2023, Amy Laurenson and Heather Cartwright, as well as England based indi-folk band, Ranagri.
